Just Fun

I've been in the best mood lately.  I've ventured into an old fandom with new writing, I've met some wonderful new people, and despite the fact that I missed my last six shifts at work due to an evil case of strep throat, I've not been feeling this cheerful in a while.  I am soooo not looking forward to going back to work on Thursday . . . this is going to really get in the way of writing *grumbles*.

I've also taken the plunge and invited my husband to read my story.  This might sound weird, but for me it's always been easier to share my writing with people I know online only.  My mother did read some of my Star Wars stuff . . . but even if she had any clue at all about the Buffyverse, Whispers is not something I would ever share with her.  My husband knows about the story and has a general idea of the events and such, but trust me when I say it's a big deal for me to actually ask him to read it.  I think he's going to do so when I'm not home, which is probably not a bad idea.

I'm strange, I get this, but there it is.

I made a new icon.  Several, actually, but this is my favourite of the day.  Gotta love a good fang face.

Of course, now that you're online, I'm falling off the chair, having been awake for 18 hours now.

I hope we _will_ be in synch at some point...

I'm here, but I don't see you in IM.

Which of your e-mails are still operational?

Heading out snowboarding this morning, so not on IM . . . you could send anything you wanted to townzell@yahoo.ca - you probably don't have that one but I use it more often than the others.

I'd be glad to . . . as soon as we get into sync, that is.

Thanks for adding me :D

I'd never show my mother any of my fandom stuff, or the record, lol, so it's very brave of you to show, well, anything of that nature I think ;)

You're welcome. I love your little stories to bits, by the way, just in case you didn't figure that out already.

The Star Wars stuff she saw was all PG, and she knew the fandom so that helped, but there aren't any such restrictions, beyond providing the appropriate warnings, onthe Buffy sites, so most things I'm going to contribute will be far too adult in nature for me to even think of sharing with her.

Thanks :D
I'm just hoping my other posts don't scare you off, lol.

PG or not, my mom wouldn't want to read it...in fact, knowing that she's read some of my original fic kind of ruins it for me to reread/edit later, cause it's like "Oh noes--she read that?!" So yeah, big kudos to you regardless :D

Also, I'm reading Whispers, and I'm totally loving it :D Kathleen rec'd it to me, btw.

Nah, I'm not easily scared :)

But I did get a shiver at the thought of sharing any of my original stuff with my mother!

And also, *hee* for the loving Whispers . . . I'm completely blown away by Kathleen's rec and her comments.
