Forever I've been existing on an old (pirated) copy of Photoshop 7.  While I'd like to upgrade to the newer PS CS programs, I could not justify spending $700+ dollars on software when I'm only an enthusiastic amateur (not a professional) photographer.

I purchased PS Elements 4 years ago, and while I preferred PS 7 for editing, I liked the organization features of PSE, as well as it had some advantages when working with multiple small layers (I'm thinking collage work) because you didn't need to know which layer number it was to select a specific one.  Anyway, last year I upgraded to a PSE/Premiere Elements 10 bundle for a discounted price, because hey, why not, newer features plus it gave me a video editing program as well.

Well, the $120 dollars I spent last November paid off, because it qualified me to purchase Photoshop CS6 at a discounted price of $299.  The regular price on it is $699 -- that's a $400 discount!  My parents are chipping in some $$ and making it my birthday present!  I just placed the order now and am super excited!

ETA: Some of the pro photographers whose blogs I follow sell delightful PS actions, which I couldn't use before because none of them worked on PSE or non-CS versions of PS.  Now I can get some of those, too!

Ooh, you do graphics stuff? Like, would you be able to do something simple like, make a jpeg into a PDF or simple graphic things?
